ACRO is the one-stop-service clinical trial center of the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University. The Faculty owns the largest super-tertiary care hospital of the Northeast region of the country, Srinagarind Hospital, with excellent centers in major therapeutic areas, with over 60,000 Inpatient services and 900,000 Outpatient visits/year, over 250 physicians providing cares for all clinical/therapeutic areas.
While sponsor-initiated trials have been conducted at Srinagarind hospital since 1990, in 2013 there were over forty new projects and currently over 100 ongoing trials. ACRO is established in 2011 to provide one-stop service contact point to sponsor-pharmaceutical/biotech companies and CRO, to provide Phases I-IV trial services to site investigators. These services are: project execution, identification of investigator, collation of feasibility report, coordination of EC submission and overall coordination of the project. ACRO also provides GCP compliant central facilities-Investigational products, document storage, and monitor rooms. Clinical trial ward facility with full-time manager, as well as a clinical trial OPD space isavailable to ensure GCP quality assurance, facilitate enrollment and increase volunteer retention.
The Faculty has a large pool of experiencedclinical research nurses/coordinators/assistants, both part-time and full-time, assisting Investigators’ ongoing trials. They always serve withresearch ethical awareness, high intention, and sincere effort, quality-oriented.
ACRO represents a new and perfect approach to patient recruitment for clinical research at the Khon Kaen University. Our managing team is interested in developing new services such as partnering with clients to accelerate time-to-market, control development costs, reduce risk and maximize return on investment. They also able to adapt to the requirements of customers and can proceed according to the Standard Operating Procedures of customers.
